Hello Everyone!
My name is Susanne Smith. I am very excited to be teaching business and computer technology at Northview Academy. This is my 21st year teaching and my 3rd year at Northview Academy. I began my career at Sevier County High School where I taught for the past 18 years. I received my Bachelors Degree in Business and Secondary Education at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville. And yes of course, I am a die-hard Tennessee Vol.
I have always enjoyed anything to do with business and my love for computer technology and software evolved within my career as an employee with International Business Machines Company "IBM". There is just so much that we can continue to learn in the vast world of computers, software, hardware, social media, management, and communications.
We will be using a multitude of different web-based programs and software to enhance our learning and knowledge about computers and software applications, and in the process become more efficient and productive. Heavy emphasis is placed on knowing how to use the computer for the tasks and projects at hand, as well as completing assignments, turning in assignments, and taking quizzes and tests online via the computer.
I look forward to getting to know each and every one of my students. I am confident that we can have a productive and successful school year. So, let's get started and Go Cougars!
Sincerely,
Susanne Smith, CAP, CPS, CIW
